Dom Symes is a bass guitarist from Adelaide, South Australia. His unique approach to the bass guitar as a counterpoint to his impressive vocals have made him an important asset to the ever increasing number of acts who call upon his services, including ’Timberwolf’, ‘Jesse Davidson’, ‘Kaurna Cronin’, ‘Banjo Jackson’ and ‘Jimmy and the Mirrors’. He has toured Australia countless times as well as more recent ventures internationally which have included concerts throughout Europe. “I had always found singing and playing at the same time to be a challenge - that was until I picked up the Höfner,” he says, “The short scale neck combined with the low action make it so easy and enjoyable to play. Now I can’t imagine playing anything else. My ‘Verythin’ comes with me everywhere.”
