Konig
Konig. Without doubt one of the finest composer guitarist's residing in the UK today. An artist of international stature Konig has performed, recorded and toured with many of the leading musicians in the field of popular music including Grammy winning reggae artist Micheal Rose formerly of Black Uhuru, Dave Murray, Basement Jaxx and Courtney Pine. Enrolling at the Birmingham Conservatoire proved to be the turning point in Konig's academic and musical career. Whilst still a student, Konig was asked by International Jazz Legend Andy Hamilton to join his band the Blue Notes. Performances on radio, television and a national tour to promote Jamaica by Night followed. The album helped to raise the profile of Konig. Leaving the Blue Notes to study jazz at the Julia Crane school of Music in New York allowed Konig to be mentored by world-renowned big band conductor/composer Prof Bret Zvacek.
