In 1949 development began on a new township in Bubenreuth to house workers displaced from the Sudetenland after WWII. Höfner were the much involved in getting the develpment going. They built a new factory at Bubenreuth and then extended it 3 times during the 1950s.

The catalogue for 1937. This was an extensive catalogue and shows just how busy Höfner were just before WWII. Someone left a number of papers inserted into this catalogue where they had been working out sales and pricing. Maybe Josef Höfner? These have been included for the interest value. Pages numbers may be out of order - sorry.
The Hofner catalogue issued in 1952. This was all in black and white. It shows some of the early archtop guitar models. Text is in German and prices are shown in DM.
The Höfner catalogue for 1955. This was in B/W. The copy here is in English and has been used to mark pricing by someone many years ago. At just 16 pages it may not be complete.
The catalogue for 1956. This was partially in colour. This copy has been marked with pricing by someone back in the 50s.
The Hofner Catalogue for 1957 - German copy. This showed or listed the full product range and was printed in colour.
The Höfner catalogue for 1960 is missing, but we do have the Selmer catalogue for that year. Here it is.
