We use exclusively air dried, hand selected tonewoods, traditional methods of guitar construction combined with cutting edge innovation & expertise to ensure that you get the guitar you require for your performance. Tonewoods can be stored at Höfner for over twenty years before being used in guitar construction. 

Höfner luthiers are always looking for new tonewoods, recently we've started to use Laurel & Indian Apple for the backs & sides of our classical guitars, or finding new ways to work with traditional tonewoods. Working with musicians, universities & music schools helps drive the designs forward, with all elements of guitar design & construction being analysed & tested in both scientific and musical environments.

This attention to detail & dedication to guitar building allows us to make the perfect instruments for today’s classical player.
