Larry RussellLarry Russell
Larry Russell was born in New York. When he was 21, Larry Russell toured as a bassist with Billy Joel in his first touring band, literally launching his solo career. Subsequently, Larry performed on tour with the Grammy Award-winning Broadway musical Godspell as well as toured/performed with Elliott Murphy, Gary U.S. Bonds, Mary Travers, The Mamas and the Papas, Spencer Davis and Robert Gordon.

Larry is currently working on a book about his early days as bass player in Billy Joel's first tour. He was the first musician to be picked by Billy for his first touring band and the book focuses on that experience.

These days Larry is currently endorsed by famed Beatle promoter, Sid Bernstein and leads a variation of a Beatles' tribute band called BeatleStock that showcases in NYC and tours the eastern region of the US, where he plays his Hofner Deluxe 5001 Lefty Bass Guitar.
