Rich SeversonRich Severson has performed and taught for over 25 years. His music education includes college and as well as private instruction. He feels education is a continuing process, there's always more to learn. Rich taught guitar at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA (G.I.T), for three years. He has three instructional guitar books published by Columbia, has won awards in songwriting, served as president of the Ventura County Producers and Songwriters Guild, and toured with the "Dick Clarks Good Old Time Rock and Roll Show" performing with Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and many other oldies greats. He’s a well-rounded player comfortable with jazz, blues, rock, fusion, country and solo fingerstyle. Currently Rich performs solo and with his jazz group, plays studio sessions, locally in the Fresno, CA area, and travels through the country playing and promoting his Guitar College Home Study Courses. “I had been playing my Hofner Jazzica for about a year and was very pleased with it. When I made a visit to the Hofner warehouse for a visit I played one of the Vice President models. I was so impressed with the look, the feel, the sound and the price, I had to have one of my own. It has the traditional jazz sound and styling, and features a solid hand-carved, graduated solid spruce top, maple sides, back and neck, rosewood fretboard and dual humbuckers. Rich says "I love my Hofner Jazzica & President.” Instrument Homepage www.guitarcollege.com |
